The File of Life is designed to provide Firefighters and EMS workers with critical medical information pertaining to a person’s current medical history.  This program consists of a magnetic plastic envelope and a health information card.  The individual participating in the File of Life program completes the health information card and places it into the protective envelope. The envelope is then placed in a visible spot on the refrigerator door. Firefighters and EMS workers can then use this information to insure that the proper emergency medical attention is provided to the individual.

To better serve the community in response to these changes the Fire Department in cooperation with Danbury Professional Firefighters Association, Local 801 are pleased to announce the ‘File of Life’ Program.

For additional information on obtaining the “File of Life” you may contact the Danbury Professional Fire Fighters Association, Local 801 @ 203.743.2415 or the Danbury Fire Department, EMS Coordinator Ray Rodriguez @ 203.796.1550
